Starting psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, so we aim to keep the process as straightforward and transparent as possible.
​
New patients begin by completing a brief pre-screening form so we can better understand your concerns and determine whether SANA Psychiatry is likely to be a good fit for your needs.
​
If an appointment is scheduled, additional intake paperwork must be completed within 72 hours of confirmation to help ensure we are able to provide thoughtful, individualized care from the start.
​
SANA Psychiatry currently accepts several insurance plans, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri, Cigna, Carelon, and UHC/UMR/Optum. Patients may also use FSA/HSA funds for out-of-network services when applicable.

As part of the onboarding process, patients will also receive an invitation through Hello Alma, our secure billing and insurance platform. Registration through Hello Alma must be completed prior to the initial appointment in order to verify insurance benefits, process payments, and finalize scheduling.

Once your intake appointment is confirmed, you will receive access to the patient portal, where you can securely communicate regarding appointments, medication refills, forms, and other non-urgent concerns.
​
Patients are also encouraged to review our practice policies before scheduling, including information regarding cancellations, refills, communication, controlled substances, paperwork requests, and other important expectations related to treatment. We believe that clear communication and transparency help create a smoother and more supportive treatment experience for everyone involved.
